February 6 1949 – Dec 8, 2022
Sue was born and raised in Pittsburgh PA, living in Baldwin Borough and Bethel Park until moving to Tampa Florida in 2018.
She was the devoted wife of the late James M. Beeson, Mom to the late Kimberly Gmiter (Jim), Russell M. Beeson and Katie Jean Beeson. She was proud “Nunny” (grandma) to James Gmiter (Quin), Hallie Beeson, Hannah Bales, Braden and Landon Beeson. Sue was also the proudest Great Grandma ever to Ryott and Atlas Gmiter.
Sue was the daughter of the late James R. and Jean H. Yearsley and loving sister of the Reverend James C. Yearsley (Alice) of Tampa Fl. She was also Aunt to Amy Yearsley of Cape Coral Florida and Rebecca Signore (Mark) of Warrington, PA.
A woman of real faith in her God, she was always seeking a clearer and closer understanding of her faith. Over the years she was a tireless worker for various churches. From that basis of faith Sue was a woman of enormous strength, humor, resilience and determination. When her husband Jim was no longer able to work in the steel industry because of an injury, she was at his side supporting him through dozens of surgeries and treatments until he was able to retrain and return to work as a police dispatcher. Over the years she worked in a variety of positions such as EMT, Insurance Adjuster, Media and Marketing Specialist, and Hospice Aide.
Sue (aka “Skippy”) was one of those rare jewels who had “never met a stranger.” Once you were her friend you were her friend for life. She will be deeply missed.
Service for Susan will be held at 12:00PM, December 16, 2022 at Village Presbyterian Church, 13115 S. Village Drive, Tampa Fl, 33618.
