Rose "Rosie" Ruiz, passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2023 in her residence, at the age of 48. Rosie was born on May 16th, 1974 in Inglewood, CA to parents Maria Reyes & Robert Ruiz. Rosie graduated from Hollywood Hills High on June 16th, 1993 in Hollywood, FL.
Rosie is survived by her mother & step-dad Maria & Richard Zambito, siblings Milton "Tony" Brown (Sharon), Michael Brown (Michelle), Brian Richardson, Tien Brown, Evelyn Brown-Nelson (Wallace), Roeshyra Charlton, & best friend (like a sister) of over 30+ years Diana Scotti. Forever cherished & remembered by her Goddaughters Marianne Rose Scotti & Angela Marie Scotti.
Her memory lives on with her nieces & nephews: Kelli, Courtney, Ariel, Ashley, Kahreemah, De'ziah, Tracy, Christina, Brazil, Shawn, Michael Jr, Joseph Jr, Jason, Joshua, Jamil, Brian Jr, Bryce & very special niece (like a daughter) Aisha.
As well as great nieces & nephews: Milan, Bryce, Cameron, Azrael (Bebo), Ashton (Chino), Joseph (Joey), Ra'Shoun (Gordo), Jo'naya (Ladybug), Skyla (Beba), & Jahmir.
Along with aunts Carmen Delgado (Albert), Rosa Martinez (Miguel), Astrid Reyes, uncles Pedro Reyes (Iris), Jorge Reyes (Danielle), & very special uncle (like a brother) Jose Reyes (Ruthie), a large host of cousins and extended family.
Rosie was predeceased by her father Robert Ruiz, step-father (like a dad) Milton Brown Jr, step-brother (like a brother) Jean-Pierre ("Pierre") Brown, both maternal & paternal grandparents, Uncle/Godfather Jesús Reyes, Great-Aunt Carmen Cruz, & niece Dionne Brown.
Rosie enjoyed doing diamond art, dancing, listening to music, making jokes, watching movies, and being with her nieces & nephews. Rosie was a big fan of the New York Yankees, Hockey, & Nascar racing. Rosie will be remember for having a contagious laugh, a strong love for her family, her favorite color red, her beautiful handwriting, her love for Roberto Clemente & Puerto Rico.
