Robert Charles Lambert

Lambert, Robert “Bob” Charles, 76, of Lutz, Florida passed with peace and dignity on October 18, 2018. He was the husband/soul mate of Jacqueline (Burns) Lambert with whom he celebrated over 22 joyful years of the deepest love, happiest marriage, and truest partnership that they could have ever imagined. They were blessed that they had this precious time together.

Bob was born on October 14, 1942 in Patterson, NJ, son of the late Al Lambert and Ruth (Utter) Lambert of Riverdale, NJ.

He graduated from Butler High School, Butler, NJ in 1960 and received a Bachelor of Finance Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1964. Bob in 1965 immediately joined the United State Coast Guard after passing Officer’s Candidate School; he was initially assigned to the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter, "Spencer", stationed in Governor’s Island, New York, NY. Bob worked his way up to Lieutenant-JG with an honorable discharge in 1968. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned the National Defense Service Medal; and Vietnam Service Medal. He also successfully completed Anti-Sub Warfare as well. Upon his retirement from active duty, he began work as a Chief Financial Officer for the Marmen Group in Chicago, IL for many years. Bob traveled around the U.S. reconstructing companies which lead him to Connecticut where he met his wife, Jacqueline.

Bob enjoyed golfing, sailing, reading, classic cars, watching TV, and spending time with family & friends.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline; daughter, Jennifer Lambert; and his two grandchildren Casey and Connor; lifetime "cherished" best friend, Herb Rice and his wife Charlotte & family; brother, Alan Lambert; sister, Gail Riker; mother in-law, Claire Burns, wife of the late Richard Burns, Sr.; sister in-law, Sharon Fitzgerald and her family; brother in-law, Richard Burns Jr., wife Susan, and his family; his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his beloved relatives and friends.

Jacqueline personally wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to our loving family; dear friends; Dr. Thomas Pearson, Tracey Shepard, his assistant; Alzheimer's Association; medical professionals, and Facebook friends that we were blessed with support & love through Bob’s Alzheimer’s journey.

A memorial service will be held at Blount & Curry Funeral Home – Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 West Bearss Ave., Tampa, FL 33618, on November 9, 2018 at 10 am. Burial with full military honors will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, FL at 1:30 pm.
