Born to Lucy and Steve Catroneo on April 3 in Garfield, N.J., he was the eldest of 2 boys. As a child, he was often found working at the family business, Yoo Hoo and Zippy Chocolate with his brother and parents. Bob went on to be one of the founders on International Chemical Corporation until he retired in 2015. Bob always enjoyed having family and friends around. He loved traveling and visited countries all over the world. During his free time, he enjoyed being out on the water and watching football.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie of 25 years; sons, Robert Catroneo, Jr. (Tammy), Todd Catroneo (Jeannie); daughter, Kristy Catroneo Greer (Jay); extended family, Russell Moore (Jen), Veronica Bazarte (Steve) and Scott Moore; grandchildren, CJ Hardison, Austin Catroneo, Blake Catroneo, Shelby Catroneo, Cameron Catroneo, Antonio Cortes, Manny Cortes, Raymond Cortes, Tyler Moore, Stevie Bazarte, Chase Moore, Lyndsay Moore; great-grandchildren, Nehemiah Hardison, Erza Hardison and Nicholas Moore; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his brother, Frank Catroneo; and parents, Lucy and Steve Catroneo.
A celebration of life for Robert will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida. An inurnment to follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
