Richard J. Snyder entered this world April 1, 1926, in Warren, Ohio. He attended Warren Harding High School; he honorably served his country as an Aerial Gunner in the US Army from February 1944 to July 1946. Richard served the City of Phoenix Fire Department for 28 years, retiring as a Captain.
Richard is preceded in death by his mother, Mary; father, Charles; sister, Dorothy; and his brother, Charles. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 50 years, Mary; his Daughters, Sandra (Timothy), Barb (Rick), Becky (Sandy) and Sherry (Terence); his sons, John, Warren (Marsha), and William. He also leaves his grandchildren, Kimberly (Ken), Jonathon (Dayna), Scott (Chiasha), Vincent (Lindsey); and seven precious great-grandchildren, Alexis, Adam, Sterling, Carter, Amaya, Dominick and Miles.
Richard made many friends on his life’s journey who we know will miss him as well. Richard was a Christian whose faith was very important to him. We have great memories when he would cook us wonderful food, tell us funny (or not funny) jokes, but always said thank you for even the smallest things. His loving and caring ways will truly be missed by all.
The family wishes to express our deepest appreciation for all the prayers and expressions of love and support by so many.
