On December 5, 2024 God received another angel, beloved husband, father, and Vietnam veteran, Richard Paul Collins at the age of 73 in Tampa, Florida.
Richard was born in Marion, Ohio to Delbert and Eva Collins on January 12, 1951. He was one of 7 children. Richard is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Lilian, Mary, Gene, and Ron. Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Sandy; son, Andy; daughter, Stacy; and brothers, George and Larry Collins. He married Sandy on November 29, 1974 in Marion, Ohio. They just celebrated their 50th anniversary.
For most of his life he was accomplished at vehicle repair, construction, and later, management before retiring. It was his mission to ensure his family was provided for and to be present and involved in their lives. He believed it was his duty and was proud to serve his country. He served 2 years in the Army and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service as a Vietnam veteran.
