Pete had a free-spirited nature and always marched to the beat of his own drum. He was known for his joking manner and hardly ever being serious, which is what our family and friends will miss the most about him. Pete had a special love for his granddaughters, and they brought out a soft side in him that was truly heartwarming. He cherished them dearly, and they, in turn, adored their Pops.
Drawing was one of Pete's hobbies, and he found joy and solace in expressing himself through art. His creativity knew no bounds, and his talent shone through his artwork.
Pete will be forever missed by his loved ones he left behind. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer, Alysha (Fernando), and Cecilia (Jeff), as well as his nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Sammy, David, Mike, and Johnny.
Pete was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Fowler; stepmother, Sylvia (Isabel) Capitano; father, Sam Capitano; daughter, Mary Capitano; and grandson, Tyler Tackett.
A memorial service will be held to honor Pete's life at Tampa Garden Of Memories, located at 4207 East Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610. The details of the ceremony will be shared with family and friends.
Pete's infectious laughter, kind heart, and unique spirit will forever live on in the memories of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
