Neil was born in Denver Colorado to Alexander and Adele Kwiatkowski on July 2, 1936. He married Elaine (Corrigan) in August of 1958 in Niagara Falls, NY. He graduated from Niagara University in 1958 and later achieved his Master's Degree from Fairfield University. He worked as an educator in the Stamford CT public school system for 30+ years, retiring in 1992. He taught Math at Rippowam High School and served as a Guidance Counselor at Westhill High School. Neil spent the majority of his adult life affiliated with High School wrestling. He coached at Rippowam and lead the team to the Connecticut State Championship in 1966. After he retired from coaching, he continued to serve as a referee for 25 years. Neil was a member of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church serving as an usher for many years.
Neil is preceded in death by his parents Alexander and Adele Kwiatkowski, brother William Kwiatkowski and nephew Mark Kwiatkowski.
Neil is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Elaine Kwiatkowski of Wesley Chapel FL, children Jill Kwiatkowski (Karen) of Tampa FL, John Kwiatkowski (Michele) of Danbury CT, Jean Herman (Mark) of Brandon FL and Joy Kwiatkowski of Brandon FL, brother, Kent Kwiatkowski of Silver Springs MD, and one grandchild, Cristina Herman of Brandon FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at St Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church (9724 Cross Creek Blvd, Tampa) on April 14th 2023 at 11:00am. Neil’s favorite color was blue. If you are so inclined, please wear blue to the service in honor of him.
