Mildred Marie Donini Spear

SPEAR, Mildred Marie Donini, 87, of Tampa, FL, found peace on November 14, 2014. She was born June 10, 1927 in Wellsburg, WV to her parents Vigilio and Virginia Donini. Millie was a graduate of Wellsburg High School where she enjoyed cheerleading and playing basketball. She married Joseph Spear on June 21, 1947 in Wellsburg and in 1955 they relocated to Tampa, FL where they helped establish Superior Seafood Company. Millie was a founding member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and a longtime member of Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club where she enjoyed golfing with her family and friends and made a hole-in-one. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Millie was very generous with her time, had a special gift of listening and being there for others in their time of need. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many; always putting others first and making them feel special and loved. She was preceded in death by Joe, her loving husband of 62 years and brothers, John and Ernest Donini. Survivors include her son Joseph Kevin, daughter Stephanie Sloan and her husband Steve; grandchildren, Shaun and Shelbi; brother, Virgil Donini and many nieces and nephews as well as her dear friends, the Sacripanti family. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, November 21st at Blount & Curry, Terrace Oaks Chapel. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated, 1 p.m., Saturday, November 22nd at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. After the Mass, a reception will be held at Terrace Oaks. A private interment will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
