Michael grew up in Houston; where he then joined the United States Air Force. He served honorably for twenty-four years before his retirement in Tampa, Florida. While in the military, he met and married Marilyn King. Four children were born out of that union.
Most important, Michael accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on November 2, 1980. In 1982, the Lord called him into ministry; where he faithfully served thirty-six years. Countless souls have been touched by the preaching, teaching, and wisdom God dispensed through His servant, Apostle Michael David Williams Sr. From the day he said “yes” to Jesus, he ran for Him; and never looked back.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Charles Williams Sr. and Eleanor Williams, brother Jesse Charles Williams Jr., sister Frances Cleo Frazier (spouse Freddie L. Frazier *also deceased).
Michael is survived by his wife, Marilyn LaVerne Williams, daughter Marquessa Dachelle Grant (spouse Sam Grant), three sons, Michael David Williams II (spouse Lita Williams), Marques Anthony Williams, Matthew Jesse-Charles Williams; two grandsons, Austin Scott Williams, Ste’fon Ishmael Williams; two granddaughters, Ishmiah Lachelle Williams, Kaitlyn LiNese Jackson; two sisters , Barbara Warner (spouse Fred Warner Sr.) Pamela Williams, brother Carl Williams; four sisters-in-law, Lesia Redeske, Stacy Goff-Smith (spouse Herman Smith), Doris Kellum (spouse Michael Kellum) Charlene Nelson; two brothers-in-law, Donald Goff, Patrick Frazier; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, spiritual children, godchildren, loved ones, friends.
The family would like to deeply thank everyone for all their prayers, love, and support. Michael is loved tremendously; and will be sorely missed. Let us who are left behind take solace in the fact that he is now in the glorious presence of Jesus Christ. Let us rejoice in the fact that he faithfully took up and carried his cross until the very end. Now, he has laid it down; and has earned his robe and every crown the Lord Jesus has prepared for him.
