Michael was born May 1, 1954, in the Bronx, NY along with his twin brother Matthew Settembrino to the late John A Settembrino and Madeline Settembrino (nee Marinucci). Michael is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen Nessa Settembrino (nee Glick) of Tampa, FL; his sister Judy Bartunek (John) of Yorktown Heights, NY; his brother John Settembrino of Yorktown Heights, NY; his sister Elizabeth Perez (Chester) of Blounts Creek, NC; his brother Matthew Settembrino of East Fishkill, NY; his brother Thomas Settembrino (Teree) of Cottonwood, AZ and his brother William Settembrino (Kathy) of Wappingers Falls, NY. “Uncle Mike” leaves behind 11 nieces and nephews and 6 grand nieces and nephews along with many cousins.
Michael was raised in Yonkers, NY, lived in Cortlandt Manor, NY and Wappingers Falls, NY before moving to Tampa, FL 24 years ago.
Michael had an artistic mind and talent for seeing beauty. He took time to listen to others and was always willing to lend an ear to someone in need of a friend or a shoulder to lean on for support or comfort. Michael cared about others and was giving of his generosity and love. He enjoyed hosting family Christmas parties and playing Santa.
Michael has been cremated and will be laid to rest at Our Lady Queen of Peace Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Ave., Hawthorne, NY 10532-2205 on Friday, November 1, 2024. There will be a celebration of life following the interment with the location still to be determined.
