He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mike and Fanny LaBarbera and Fred and Lily Gonzalez.
He is survived by his beloved daughter Logan Olivia, his parents Don (Sonny) and Gigi LaBarbera, his brother Scott (Megan) and so many loving family members.
Michael graduated from Jesuit high school, The University of South Florida and attended Loyola University in New Orleans.
Michael was an avid athlete. He was a star baseball player with Wellswood Little League. Michael had a deep passion for playing golf, football, baseball,softball, boating and fishing, especially off Manasota key.
He was an excellent cook always whipping up delicious Italian and creole meals for his family and friends, especially his famous New Orleans gumbo and authentic Sicilian spaghetti sauce.
Michael was an amazing father, son and brother. He had a deep undying love and loyalty for all of his family, relatives and lifelong friends.
We all have a huge gap in our hearts but will forever cherish the precious memories of the time we had together and the impact that Michael had on anyone fortunate enough to have crossed his path. He was a lifelong friend to all.
Words cannot express how much we love and miss you Michael. You will live in our hearts FOREVER.
