Melissa was born at St. Joe’s Women’s Center in Tampa, Fl to Elizabeth Hennessey on March 6, 1981. She went to school at Incarnation and Academy of the Holy Names. She married Ken Johnson on February 19, 2006 in Seminole, Fl. She worked as a Manager for JPMorgan Chase.
Melissa is preceded in death by her Grandfather, Robert J. Hennessey, her Aunt, Mary Hennessey, and her baby sister, Miqueala Hernandez.
Melissa is survived by her loving husband, Ken Johnson, her two loving boys, Kevin & Christian Johnson, her brothers, Pedro Hernandez and Christopher Sampson, her Grandmother, Encarnacion Hennessey, her parents, Elizabeth & Pete Hernandez, her Aunt Helen Lloyd and cousins, Jonathan Lloyd & John Monzon. She also has several family members in Florida, Washington, Texas, & Ohio, as well as the country of Spain.
A memorial service will be held from 4pm – 8pm on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home on Hillsborough Ave.
A Funeral mass will be held at a later date at Incarnation Catholic Church.
