Mary was a graduate of Stetson University and later attended Tulane University and the University of South Florida. Mary worked for many years at Hugh Phillips Real Estate. Mary and her husband were long time members of Forest Hills United Methodist Church. Mary enjoyed traveling with friends and was an avid bridge player, belonging to many bridge clubs, both women and couples groups.
She is predeceased by her parents, LH and Edna Howell, and sister Jeanette of Ft Lauderdale. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, A. P. Ragsdale Jr., son James and wife Laurie of Tampa, granddaughter Lindsey and husband Sean of Gainesville, sister Linda Davidson and niece Robin of New Jersey, and numerous grandnieces.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. January 5, 2023 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida. Interment to follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, Tampa, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
