Mary Elizabeth Mills

Mary was born in Brooklyn, New York to John and Mary Barrett. She attended Fort Hamilton High School and married her high school sweetheart, James Patrick Mills.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, James, after spending a wonderful and loving life together.

She worked many years in banking, retail and transportation before retiring.

Mary enjoyed traveling the world and had the opportunity to visit places such as Ireland, Italy and Switzerland. She liked taking cruises, playing bingo and spending time with friends and family. We think for several years her part time retirement job was winning at bingo!

She loved her chocolates and also her Friday night New York style cheese pizzas.

She is survived by her son, James Mills and wife, Leslie; daughter, Joanie Terciak and husband Jimmy; and her brother Jack Barrett and wife Janet.

Mary loved her 7 grandchildren – Tricia, Janelle, Jason, Brenna, Bayley, Britney and Torey and her 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation is on Tuesday, December 6th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 6802 Silvermill Drive, in Tampa, Florida.

Service to be held on Wednesday, December 7th at 10:00 am at Blount & Curry with the funeral procession to follow to the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida where she will be reunited with her husband for all eternity.
