On Saturday, May 30, 2020, Mary Angela (Lambert) Hamm, loving mother and grandmother of two, passed away peacefully at age 67. Angie’s faith in God’s promise of salvation through Jesus Christ made her transition into eternity a blessing and a comfort for all of us.
Angie was born on April 12, 1953 in District Heights, Md to Norman and Mary (King) Lambert. She lovingly cared for her home and family, volunteering at school and church, and was a committed military spouse. On July 1,1972, she married Eddie J Hamm. Together, they raised one daughter, Misty.
Angie had a passion for all animals, especially dogs. She raised multiple litters of Brittney Spaniels and rescued others. She enjoyed creating animal crafts, ceramics, and her paintings captured her love for nature. Her life illuminated advocacy and was a voice for those animals which were homeless or abused. Later, she adopted and trained a therapy dog and often traveled to nursing homes to bring happiness to the eldery. Angie will always be known for her selfless acts towards others and walking out the faith she held so dear.
She had an unwavering sense of patriotism and devotion to the military. Stimming from her upbringing, husband, and son-in-law, Angie displayed enthusiastic support and volunteered for our nation’s veterans. She held the highest respect for those in uniform. Angie will always be remembered for her generosity, thoughtfulness, and adoration for her family. Her genuine excitement and enthusiasm was always contagious regardless of the day, the trial, or the dream.
Angie was preceded in death by her mother, Mary. She is survived by her father, her two brothers Norman and Tracy, as well as, her sister Julie. She is also survived by her daughter Misty and two grandchildren, Kristin and Carmen, several nephews and multiple cousins. A funeral service will be held at a later date due to COVID-19.
