Martha Nunez

Martha Nunez, 82, passed away on November 7, 2021 in Oldsmar, FL. Born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico to the late Carmelo Rodriguez and Dolores Soto on June 5, 1939, Martha moved to Brooklyn, NY before eventually settling in Clearwater/PalmHarbor in 1994. She was a homemaker and the proud wife of a veteran. She enjoyed cooking, singing, word puzzles and home organizing.

Martha was preceded in death by her son, Javier Nunez who died while serving in the Marine Corp in 1988; sisters (3 of 5), Virginia, Lydia, Carmen, and brothers (3 of 4): Francisco, Voltaire, Vicente

She is survived by her two (2) sisters, Olga and Blanca; her brother, Pablo; her loving husband, Victor M. Nunez; son Victor M. Nunez Jr.; daughter Nivia L. Brito (Jorge); six grandchildren Kristina (Patrick), Melissa “Mimi”, Haylie, JB (Arielle), Tony (Chelsea), and Lillian (Vanessa); as well as seven great-grandchildren Camille, Vivi, Gavin, Lukas, Juliet, Stella and JJ.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 5PM to 8PM with funeral services taking place that evening at Gonzalez Funeral Home. A final viewing will then take place on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 10AM to 11AM at the funeral home with internment to follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
