It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Margo Ann Stanziano Hodges. She left us peacefully on February 17, 2024, at her home in Redington Shores, Florida. Born on December 21, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Helen and Frank Stanziano. From Detroit they moved to Coos Bay, OR then to Tampa, FL.
Margo's heart found its match in Jim H. Hodges II, whom she met at Plant High School. They married on June 17, 1961. Over the years they were active members of the Palma Ceia Golf Club and she was a member of Tampa Junior Woman League. She worked for Phillips Petroleum Company, Channel 13 News and Perrott Jewelry Store in Tampa. Moving to Lake Lure, NC in 2006 they were members of Fairfield Mountains Chapel. While in Lake Lure they enjoyed many years on the Lake making countless cherished memories and lifelong friendships. Margo’s artistic talents, particularly in acrylic painting, brought beauty into the lives of many, reflecting her deep appreciation for the world around her. Her beautiful, fun loving, never met a stranger personality will be missed by so many.
Margo's legacy is carried on by her beloved husband, Jim H. Hodges II; her daughter, Tracy Lynne McGlohon (Norman); her nephews, Chad Spencer (Tracy), Jeff Beard and John Beard (Donna). Her cousin Mary Fluent (Tom).
Preceded in death by her son, Lance Darien Hodges, and her brother, Richard Spencer, Margo's spirit reunites with those she has missed dearly.
A memorial service to celebrate Margo’s life and legacy will be held at South Tampa Fellowship Church 5101 Bayshore Blvd. Tampa, Florida 33611. March 23, 2024. Friends will be received at 10 am followed by Memorial service at 11am. The service may be viewed at stfchurch.com/online
