Margaret Mason

Margaret Mason was born September 30, 1917 in Tampa, Fl. and passed to God’s hands July 20, 2018. She was a lifelong resident of Hillsborough County, raised her family in Tampa as a homemaker and preschool teacher married to Joseph R. Mason. For many years she enjoyed her summer home in Bryson City, N.C. with her many mountain friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph R. Mason and her son Richard Lee Mason, Sr.

She is survived by her son, James W. Mason (his wife Margie), her daughter, Joe Ann Jackson, Stella Mason (wife of Richard Mason), 8 Grandchildren, Kym Rigsbey, Sean Mason (their Mother Terri Dino), Melinda Sullivan, Donna Starboard, Cheryl Howie, Cindy Ross, Rick Mason and Christine Witherall, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren, extended family and many friends.

There will be a celebration of her life Tuesday July 24, 2018 at Blount Curry Funeral Home on Bearss Avenue in Tampa with visitation at 11:00 am, a service at 12:00 pm followed by burial at Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
