McGuire, Lawrence Sr., 75 of Holiday, FL, formally of Tonawanda, NY was called home on February 17, 2018 after a short illness. Larry was survived by his loving wife Judy (nee Hartman), the apple of his eye, his daughter Stacie Hartman and sister in law, Faye Hartman. Also survived by 2 sisters, Betty (Bill) Evans of Morrisdale, PA and Barbara Osborne of Summerville, SC. 2 brothers, John (Anita) Ross of Deland, FL and Bob (Linda) Ross of Clearfield PA and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother, Jim. Dearest friend of Art and Sandy Toale and their children, all of Buffalo, NY.
Larry was born in Philipsburg, PA, the son of the late Paul McGuire and the late Mary Edna Ross and moved to Buffalo, NY as a young child. Larry attended Kenmore West High School. He loved to spend his time fishing on Lake Erie where he was a Charter Captain for many years. His other loves included spending time with his family, especially with his daughter, golfing, shopping at Wegmans (which was always his first stop when he went home to visit), playing on his computer and his X Box, watching Fox News as well as watching In the Kitchen with David on QVC.
Larry was a great cook and worked as a chef for many years. He had a first place prize winning recipe for carrot cake. In his lifetime, Larry also worked as an Auto Insurance Appraiser, a Metallurgist Assistant, a delivery driver with Airborne Express/DHL and a cashier at Walmart.
Larry and the love of his life, Judy were married on Valentines Day 1999. They decided to follow their daughter and in 2001 moved to Clearwater, FL. They moved to Holiday, FL in 2005 where they have resided ever since.
Larry was great man and a kind soul. He was strong willed and opinionated. He brightened so many lives and he was loved by all who knew him.
