Julia June Ann Gamble Greenhalgh

GREENHALGH, "June" Julia Ann Gamble, peacefully passed away Friday, March 13, 2015, at age 85. Julia was known to her many friends as "June" and to her loving family as "Momma June." She is survived by loving sons, Terry L. Greenhalgh and his daughter, Shannon Ann Greenhalgh; Jeffrey L. Greenhalgh, his wife Karen Crook Greenhalgh and their daughter, Kasey Lynn Greenhalgh, all of Tampa. June also loved her remaining "extended family" which included Shannon's mother and sister, Erin Linsky, Meya Linsky; Karen's mother, Nancy, brother, Kevin and his family; as well as longtime friends, Shirley and Bill Gantz. Born on November 15, 1929 in Rome, GA, June was the eldest child of parents, Robert Gamble and Faye Watson Gamble. Julia is predeceased by her loving former husband Frederick Greenhalgh, her brother Bobby Gamble of Cincinnati, Ohio and sister Edith Gamble Bowling of Ringgold, Georgia. The Greenhalgh family moved to Tampa from Atlanta in 1961, where they bought a home in the "new" Town 'n Country Park community where June raised her sons and where she has resided since. June was employed in hospitality at the Hawaiian Village Tiki Lounge which during the 1960's and '70's, was the premier entertainment showplace of the Tampa Bay area and later managed the "Brothers Lounge" in the Westshore area. June finished her career as a successful residential leasing agent with several apartment communities in Tampa. June's passion was making precious memories with her family. She would inspire her loved ones with a reminder to "laugh out loud." She was the foundation, the strength and the moral compass of her family. June was of Christian faith, who openly professed her love of God and The Lord Jesus. God bless you Mom.
