Judith "Judy" Ann Jones, nee Eshbaugh, died peacefully at Advent Hospital in Tampa, Florida at the age of 79 on February 3, 2021. Judy is survived by her son, David and his wife Jennifer of Charlottesville, Virginia and grandsons Charles and Samuel. She is also survived by her brother Owen Eshbaugh of Port Clinton, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Margaret Eshbaugh of Gibsonton, Florida and her long-time companion, Floyd Jones of Hillsboro, New Hampshire.
Judy was born on April 23, 1941 in Youngstown, Ohio where she grew up on a farm. After graduating from Canfield High School in 1959, she went on to earn a degree from Kent State University in Business Management with a minor in Economics. She started her career as a buyer/fashion distributor for J.C. Penney and was responsible for merchandising 58 stores with womens' fashions in New York City. She then went on to work at Booz, Allen & Hamilton as head librarian and research specialist for several years; however, she finally reached her calling when she became an educator. Her most beloved role was at the Academy of Holy Names, where she taught Economics and American Government for over 30 years and served as a sponsor for its service club.
Judy was a lover of dogs, especially her boxers. She also loved her church community at Palma Ceia United Methodist Church and was grateful for their friendship, love, and support.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Palma Ceia United Methodist Church. A private service will be held by the family.
