Joyce K. Cruz

Joyce K. Cruz, 84, of Tampa, Florida was born on October 8, 1940, to the late Frank Nelson Cofield & Myrtle Lillian Burgett Cofield, and passed away peacefully December 20, 2024, surrounded by her childrens' loving embrace.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Cruz, Sr.; grandson, Anthony Cruz, III; & sister, Lillian “Marie” Smith.

She is survived by her daughter Selina Cruz O’Nan (Kristen); son, Anthony Cruz, Jr.; brother, Dorvan Cofield; grandchildren, Julia Campbell (Logan), Jared O’Nan, & Kayla Cruz; great-grandchild, Violet Campbell; along with numerous nieces, nephews, & close friends chosen as family.

Joyce was most proud of how she ran her household and raised her children, which she did amazingly well. However, she was also incredibly proud of her work as a teller at Central Bank, an Administrate Assistant for Metropolitan Commercial Mortgage & Lending, as well as keeping books for her husbands’ electrical company, Cruz Electric. Throughout the years, she & her husband enjoyed traveling with friends & family. She was also a fantastic cook, who enjoyed hosting & entertaining family & friends. Joyce was a girlie girl through and through. She enjoyed getting her hair & nails done, doing her make-up, wearing her favorite jewelry, which she often coordinated to her outfit. She always left the house completely dressed to impress. She will be incredibly missed by her family & all that knew her.

The family will receive friends & family for a visitation on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 9:30 am, followed by a service at 10:30 am, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories.

Joyce asked that in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, an organization very near & dear to her & her husband's hearts.
