James Eugene Luallen

Jim was born on November 23, 1932, in Perrysburg, Ohio, to Garland (Ray) Luallen and Gladys Underwood Luallen. He was preceded in death by his mother; father; and stepmother, Clarissa (Opal) Luallen. Surviving are his sister Betty Ann Moore and her husband Bill, his wife of 58 years Mary Ann Luallen, his daughter Andrea Luallen Egg and husband Victor, son Eric, grandsons Braden James Luallen and Peyton Luallen Egg; Renee Luallen, and many other family members.

Jim graduated from DeVilbiss High School and Defiance College in Ohio. He was a member of Defiance’s undefeated and untied football team. His various occupations were a teacher of math, a high school athletic coach of various sports, a Systems Engineer, owner of Tiffany Bakeries, and a Community Association Manager. Jim volunteered to assist in the many sports that his 2 children were involved with especially the Carrollwood Village Swim Team. He attended all types of sporting events, with his favorite teams being Florida State, the University of Texas, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

On Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Blount and Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood, 3207 W. Bearss Avenue, Tampa, FL 33618; visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by the funeral services at 2:00 pm. Burial after will be at the Lake Carroll Cemetery.
