James “Jamie” Breck Boynton III of Tampa passed away on July 8, 2019 at the age of 54 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Boston, MA he grew up in Winter Park, FL. Jamie attended Auburn University and was a die-hard War Eagle fan. He met his wife of 32 years, Jan Whiteman Boynton there and his career in Ornamental Horticulture brought them back to FL. He is predeceased by his mother Marilyn Fisher Turner and leaves behind his wife Jan, daughters Danielle and Lindsay, as well as his father James Breck Boynton Jr, sister Jennifer Roberts (Wayne) and brother in laws Jeff Whiteman (Colleen) and Jack Whiteman and nieces Jordan, Katie & Caroline and nephews Tanner and Alex; as well as his two beloved dogs Brody and Bailey.
He enjoyed his career as a Vice President for Brightview Landscapes, but his passion was coaching softball. He coached a national championship team and was influential in assisting many young women achieve at the collegiate level.
