Isabel Ines Garrote de Blanco

A native of Santiago de Cuba, Cuba, Isabel Ines met the love of her life and loving partner of 65 years, who very recently passed away, Julio Blanco.

They formed a beautiful family with 3 children; two daughters, Lissy (married to Salvador Vargas), and Annie (married to Kyle Helvie), and a son, Julio Carlos (married to Shanti Rolon-Morales). She had two beautiful granddaughters, Sabrina and Julia, whom she loved spending time with sharing advice, love for fashion, and sharing recipes.

After leaving Cuba, she lived in Puerto Rico for 37 years. Isabel Ines was a crucial part of the management of Blanco & Hnos., Inc., their construction equipment sales and rental company.

In 2002, Isabel Ines and Julio retired to Tampa, Florida. She spent time with her dear sister, Lourdes Suarez-Solar making and selling jewelry a hobby which she loved. She was, also an active member of the Catholic group, Legion de Maria, which works to help others in their times of need and promotes their spiritual growth.

A memorial mass for Isabel will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2023 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 12708 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, Florida 33618. Following the memorial mass will be an inurnment at 2 p.m. in Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33610.
