He was preceded in death by Edna Ritchie, his wife of 61 years; mother; father; brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his five children; Diana Osteen, James Osteen, Rebecca Tillman (Robert), Cynthia Self (Ken), Buttons Croy; 14 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren; 14 great-greats; two sisters-in-law, Margie Mitchell, Glenda Jernigan; brother-in-law, Verlyn Montgomery; friend and caregiver, Lisa Welch and special friend, Alice Doss; also numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The first celebration of life for Howard will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Fellowship of the Redeemed Church, 4747 Allen Road, Zephyrhills, Florida 33541.
The second celebration of life for Howard will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024 at First Free Will Baptist Church, 11605 US Highway 92 East, Seffner, Florida 33584. Following this service there will be a gathering at Cindy's house, 12013 McIntosh Road, Thonotosassa, Florida 33592.
