H. Wright Griner

Wright Griner, 71, of Tampa, Florida passed away on February 3rd 2023 at St. Joseph’s Hospital North, in Lutz, Florida. Wright was born in Thomasville, Georgia to James Edward and Ruby Griner on October 9, 1951. He graduated from Leto High school in Tampa, Florida and worked as a petroleum salesman for over 30 years up until he retired in 2019. Wright was of Baptist faith.

Wright is preceded in death by his parents James Edward and Ruby Griner of Tampa, FL and his grandparents Gordon and Omie Griner of Ochlocknee GA, maternal grandmother Nettie Covington of Winter Garden FL.

Wright is survived by his son Clint R.Griner, grand-daughters Jasmin, Harmony and Lexi of Tampa, FL. Sisters Gail Hunter, New Port Richey FL., Jill Griner-Morgan (Vinny) of Steinhatchee FL. Uncles Donnie (Faye) Griner, Glynn (Liza) Griner of Ochlocknee, GA. and Odell (Jean) Griner of Thomasville, GA, and many beloved family and friends.

Celebration of Wright’s Life will be held at Grace Family Church, 5101 Van Dyke Rd Lutz Fl. at 3pm Friday, February 24th. The family invites everyone to join them immediately after the service for refreshments.
