She was our much loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She lived a fulfilling life as a pastors wife. This was the joy of her life. She loved, cared for and touched many people along her journey. She was always surrounded by friends.
The last three years of her life she was able to relax and be cared for by others. She loved her retirement community on Boca Ciega Bay. She saw many beautiful sunsets from her 12th floor apartment overlooking the Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. She made friends quickly in her new surroundings and was known by all as Gracie. You would have thought she was a celebrity when she went downstairs to walk around or go to lunch or dinner. All knew her and greeted her lovingly. She would sit with friends outside on the dock or on the front porch and talk and laugh for hours. She learned how to play bingo and loved it. She attended church every Sunday at her community until she wasn’t able. On occasion she would play the grand piano in the lobby as she was waiting to go into the dinning room. When she played people would join her to listen or sing along. Her favorite song was of course, Amazing Grace - as she was Grace and Amazing .
She leaves behind a lot of beautiful memories. She will be missed but never forgotten. Our beloved Amazing Grace/Gracie.
