We looked forward to retired folks playing card game silliness with you and Deb like we did in flight school waiting for our first sons.  You lived a good life, friend, just way too short.

Dear Debby and family,
It is so difficult to talk about Gary at this time.  He was the great husband, father, grandfather, nephew and friend.
The shock that hit us is still with us.  We already feel the loss of him. The knowledge of what the family is going through is too painful to think about.  
We love you and offer you comfort.  May God hold you in his hand and help you throughout this sad ordeal.

Dear Debbie and Family, we are so sorry for the loss of Gary.  It seems like yesterday I was just walking into Gary’s office at Coast Guard Air Station Miami talking about Falcon Jets.  He was an outstanding Coast Guard Officer and pilot.  Later, we both became pilots at Delta Air Lines.  I recently said hello to Gary in the pilots’ lounge at ATL.  He always had a smile on his face with a kind word for me.   I have some wonderful memories of Gary and I will never forget our time together.   Both Beverly and I are so sorry to hear of this said news.  May the Lord be with you all during this difficult time.

Deborah, am so sorry for your loss.  Prayers for you and your family as ya’ll begin healing.  I didn’t know Gary personally, but was touched after reading the CGAA email about his passing.  Our paths may have crossed somewhere as I to flew USCG C-130’s, Falcon’s (aviator#1964) and am a retired Northwest/DAL Airbus pilot.  I feel as if I’ve lost a ‘brother’ way to soon.   Peace and Trust in HIM!

Dear Debbie and Family, we are so sad for the loss of Gary.  Gary and I have been friends since we first met at the CG Academy in 1974.  We were in the same summer platoon, X-2, the best in blue!  We have shared 40 plus years of memories and friendship.  He will never be forgotten and Nell, Marc and I will miss him.  God Bless!

Please accept our deepest condolences.  I was shocked about the news to say the least.  Gary was a coworker, a cofounder of our next union, and an inspiration to everybody who had the pleasure to work with him.  He will be dearly missed at Delta, and by all of us that had the pleasure of working with him.

 I had the pleasure to work and fly with Gary a couple of times a few years back on the 717 at Delta Air Lines.  Gary stuck out as not only a great captain, but as a kind man.  He had such a nice personality and made work enjoyable.  That stuck out to me as someone to emulate out of the sea of captains a first officer flies with during a career.  I enjoyed our trips together.  Much respect for his career and more importantly how he carried himself.  My deepest condolences and prayers to the Napert family. 

I am a fellow Delta pilot, one of the thousands of pilots that have probably flown with Gary over the years.  I think I only flew one trip with him last year, but I remember him well and enjoyed getting to know him for a few short days.  My deepest condolences for your loss and pray you are able to be comforted as your family gathers to remember Gary and celebrate his life.

Debbie, I had the privilege of being in the same Company as Gary during our 4th class year. With many of us being from out of town, we relied on Gary to learn about the local area.  Gary was an awesome classmate and will be dearly missed!  Please know that our thoughts and prayers are for you and your family during this very difficult time.    

Dearest Debby and the Napert Family,   Saddened by the passing of Gary . Shocking to all .  My prayers and thoughts of the good times together are lost but never forgotten.  
Gaston's  love for all of you children were shared with me.  He often told me stories of when you 4 children were growing up. ,  A few of them stuck with me.  One was when Gary was young and he wanted to do something and his Dad (Papa Gus) told him NO.  Gary went running off to his bedroom all upset.. Shortly later his parents  Gus and Madeline hear a LOUD CRASH.  Seems Madeline rearranged the boys bedroom and Gary missed the bed and smashed his head into the wall.  !  Gus said when they checked  in on Gary. He was confused but looked up and said "I'm sorry "  Now we know that Gary is side by side with his Dad in heaven because we  know that Gus prayed and is still praying for each of his children and Grandchildren.  So  Sad he missed out on the beautiful Great Grandchildren.  These times are uncertain, but one thing's for sure.  You have each other... share each and every good thought . hold each other together in this sad time.

Dear Debbie and family, I'm saddened and shocked to hear about Gary. I will always remember the great times we had in high school. I remember when he got his nomination to the Academy. I'm just in shock, my thoughts and prayers to all of you. 

Julie and I were saddened to hear the news of Gary’s passing. He was a low-keyed quiet gentleman and always the consummate professional. I had the pleasure of helping him for many years with his commute to work. Gary was a true asset to Delta Airlines. He earned my respect a long time ago. We will miss him. He was always genuinely concerned for our passengers and agents. You have earned your wings. Smooth skies always.

I thought I posted a memory earlier in the week.  While I am saddened to hear this news of  our classmate Gary, Crossing the Bar, I hope you and your sons - Gary & Brian, can celebrate the many  great memories.  I know his classmates will. My wife and I extend our heart felt condolences to the Napert family for the loss of their husband, father and friend.   Gary was my CGA classmate  and most remembered by me for his amazing attitude, gentle smile and professionalism.          Please know family that you are in our prayers.  

Gary was in my summer section at USCGA, one of the first guys I met there. I had the good fortune to run into him in Tampa a year ago, so we got to talk again. A great guy, and will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family.  The last time I saw Gary we had talked about having a Rivard family reunion.  I will do my best to make this happen once Covid is over.  

I was always proud to say that Gary was my nephew.  He will always hold a special place in my heart.

So sorry to hear the news of Gary's passing. I was stationed a with Gary in Hawaii in the mid 1980s Gary was a very hard working, conscientious and kind man. He will be missed. Deepest sympathies to his family.

The world will miss Gary's laugh and his knowledge.  I was lucky to know him and to share more than a few hours flying with him.  My prayers go to his family who were always his first priority.

I have known Gary for many years. We graduated from the Coast Guard Academy together.  We served together at CGAS Elizabeth city and crossed paths again as pilots at Delta Air Lines.  My heart felt sympathy goes out to Debbie and family.  Gary was always a give it all you've got person with everything he did.  He will by missed.

Sending all my LOVE to Debbie and family.  I have such fond memories of going out on the boat in Connecticut when we were younger.  Gary was such a take-charge guy I always felt safe on the boat (and I was a bit scared of the water).  Always a smile at the ready.
