Francis "Frank" A. Cardinal, 72, of Tampa, passed away December 25, 2019. A life mentor to many, a man of strength, kindness, and love. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Arlene; sister, Barbara; sisters-in-law; Janet Walsh and Mary Ognibene; nephew, Bill Walsh; many great-nephews; special niece, Jill (Robin) Sultan; nieces and great-niece. Frank served in the US Army, attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Barry University in Miami Shores, FL. He was a resident of Florida for 42 years where his career with worldwide corporations brought him challenges and many successful accomplishments. Travelling all over the world with Arlene was one of his many passions. Frank served as a Member, Board of Trustees, Tampa Museum of Art; also, served in the hospitality ministry as an usher with Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Tampa, FL and Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando, FL. His service to the community brought him fellowship, fun, joy, peace and an opportunity to extend his warmth to all. Frank could never imagine how much he will be missed! He will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. A memorial mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 509 N Florida Avenue, Tampa, FL, Saturday, February 1st, 2020 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tampa Museum of Art or Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Restoration Fund.
