Born in Chattanooga, TN, she had resided in Tampa, FL since early childhood. From being a welder at the shipyard during WWII, cigar factory worker at Hav-A-Tampa, and the best-tipped waitress downtown, her stories were rich with laughter.
Her favorite job of all time was jewelry manager at HSN Outlet. She was the Queen and Fashionista. Dorothy was a devout Christian, her “Try God” necklace opened doors to witness to others. She knew Jesus and claimed him as her very best friend.
She is survived by her children, Betty Regalado (Fred), John Black III, Darlene Combs, Toni Cason (Roye), and many other loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by husbands John Kromer and Anthony Cueto.
Her beauty and grace will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 W. Bearss Ave, Tampa. Pastor Reno Zunz of Idlewild Baptist Church officiating. Family visitation prior to service begins at 12:30pm.
