Digna E. Angulo, 93, of Tampa passed away on July 16, 2024, and is now reunited with her beloved husband, Henry “Hank” Angulo. Digna was born in Tampa on December 12, 1930. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1948 and from Florida State University, School of Business in 1952. Digna enjoyed a 26 year career as Executive Secretary at General Telephone Company of Florida, Department of Network Planning. Digna was an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and in 2020 received the Diamond Circle Certificate recognizing her for 60 years of steadfast devotion to the virtues of Beta Sigma Phi. Digna was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Jose A. Dominguez, her husband, Henry C. Angulo, and her sister-in-law, Maralyn C. Dominguez. She is survived by her brother, Dr. Gerald H. Dominguez, her nieces, Erin Dominguez and Nancy D. Cedola, and her great nephews, Nicholas Cedola and Matthew Cedola.
A casual celebration of Digna’s life will be held on August 8, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Avenue, Tampa, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Digna’s memory to Pets for Patriots (www.petsforpatriots.org) or another charity of your choice.
