Diana “Sis” Medina, passed away on May 17, 2019, at the age of 62, in Riverview, Florida, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born on October 18, 1957 in Lorain, Ohio to Howard and Ruth Osburn, originally from West Virginia.
After growing up in Lorain and marrying the love of her life, Gilbert Medina, in 1975, Diana and her family eventually moved to Florida in 1991.
Along with her kindness, her positive outlook, and unforgettable laugh, Diana had a generous and compassionate heart. That generosity and compassion was often extended to people outside of her family, as she was always willing to help those in need, in whatever way she could.
She enjoyed playing games with her family and reading to her grandchildren. She was proud of and cherished her extensive collection of clowns, angels and penguins. She held an administrative position with Coggins Plumbing for many years, where she made longtime friends and acquaintances.
Diana was preceded in death by her father Howard, her brother Troy, and her best friend and sister, Iris Morales. She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Gilbert Medina, their loving children Victor Medina, Vickie Rivera, Malinda Evans and Lory Medina; her dear siblings Timmy, Orpha, James and Sharon Osburn and Donna Carver; her cherished grandchildren Gil, Oscar, Luis, Sergio, Heavenly and Leighann, and her extended grandchildren Summer, Gavin, Gabby and Emalynn.
