On June 29, 1960, God allowed the love of Cynthia D. Beckwith to enter earth through the lives of Annie and Theodis Beckwith Sr. He blessed them with a beautiful daughter that would leave her mark on this Earth. Mrs. Cynthia Gibson also known as “Cherry” was born in Tampa in the Sulphur Springs Community. She was baptized at Springhill M. B. Church at an early age. She moved to Detroit, Michigan and stayed there until her teen years. She returned to Tampa to futher her education. She found love and married Rev. Nathaniel Gibson and they served in ministry until his death.
She was a hardworking entrepreneur and this was evident as she owned various businesses throughout the years. She was employed with the Hillsborough County School District as a beloved bus driver and trainer for over 30 years. She was instrumental in touching the lives of countless of people with her kindness, her voice, warm heart, and open arms. She would come to your rescue. You definetly could call on her for any concerns.
On August 12, 2019 her life full of abundance of love abruptly came to an end. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Nathaniel Gibson, her mother Annie Ruth Beckwith and grandparents Bessie Stoudamire and Jerry Franklin.
She is survived and loved by:
Devoted, Beautiful Daughters; Cynesia Boykins (Justin), Earlynthea Knight (Ishmeal) and Cyntia Beckwith, Loving Grandchildren; Ishmeal Knight Jr, Ishamaira Knight, Isaac Knight, Cyntavia Beckwith, Cynteria Beckwith, Cy’lia Beckwith, and Nathaniel Washington, Brothers; Theodis Beckwith Jr, Jerry Beckwith (Kathy), James Beckwith and Michael Beckwith, Nieces; Cynesia Beckwith, Jerlaine Beckwith, Lakeithea Beckwith, Erica Beckwith, Nephews; Kevin Beckwith, Edward Beckwith, Theodric Beckwith, James Knight Michael Beckwith Jr., Special Cousin Cassandra Osborne (Charles), Best Friends; Evelynn Sims, Pamela Beckwith and Robert Rice, there are so many she loved and cherished included in those are; Marlene Williams, DJ Tony Tee-Pee Payne, Janice Fleming, Jeffery Taylor, DJ Freaky Freddy, Donald Dowridge Jr., Eddie Harris, Valerie Bullock, Cleo Heart, Yvette Madison, Sylvia Williams, Jim Beekman, and that’s just a few, there are a host of family, friends and coworkers that loved and will dearly miss “Ms Cherrie”.
