Mr. Clyde Hollman Smith

SMITH, Clyde Hollman, 81, of Land O Lakes, was born on December 13, 1932 in Hildebran, NC to the late Joseph Tyson Smith and Bessie Holman Smith. He passed away on June 28, 2014 in Lutz, FL. Mr. Smith was retired from the U.S. Air Force and a Past Master of the J.F. Swartzel Lodge 251 where he was a member for 53 years. In addition to his parents, Clyde is preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Smith; brothers, Claude, Ralph and Bill Smith and his sister-in-law, Dorothy Smith. He is survived by his children, Danny Smith, Robby Smith and his wife Donna and his daughter, Lazanne Schmidt and her husband Tim; grandchildren, Tyler, Adam, Amanda, David, Jacob and Tray and his great granddaughter, Kara. Also surviving are his sisters-in-law, Marion and Ruby Smith; his dear friend Judy Cass and many nieces, nephews and friends who loved and miss him dearly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Clyde’s name to the Moffitt Cancer Center, HPH Hospice or the Disabled American Veterans. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from the chapel of Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood with a Masonic service and military honors.
