Christopher Michael Perez, 45, native of Tampa passed away peacefully in his sleep October 30, 2013. He was the precious son of Frank and Yolie Perez; survived by his loving children, Sheena and Frankie; granddaughter, Khylie; stepson, Joseba Aranzamendi; brothers, David (Pat), and Wayne ; grandmother, Edelmira Perez Albano; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, countless friends including his fishing buddies and ballplayers. Chris was predeceased by his grandparents, Miguel and Marina Dieguez, Frank Perez, and Frank Albano. Chris graduated from Jefferson High School, attended West Tampa Boys Club and successfully played Jefferson baseball and football for Jefferson as well as football for the Boys Club. His love of sports carried over and he became a coach to countless young men. He taught these young men to play with all their hearts, win or lose and also the fundamentals of life to love and respect. He owned his own company MADD Construction, named after his grandfather Miguel Angel Dieguez. Chris also enjoyed and loved fishing; he worked hard, played hard and lived life to the fullest. Chris leaves you with his signature smile and the words “Good things come to those who Believe, better things come to those who are patient and the best things come to those who don’t give up.” Services in his honor will be held Sunday November 3rd at Gonzalez Funeral Home 11am to 1pm visitation with 1pm service; burial will be at Centro Asturiano Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a custodial account that has been set up for Frank Anthony Perez strictly for his college education, donations can be sent to Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union, PO Box 11904, Tampa, FL 33608, Checks must be made payable to Frank Anthony Perez and account number 4508443; Chris' utmost wish and goal was for Frankie to obtain a college education.
