Christine E. Peterson

Christine Ella Peterson (nee Ennis) passed away peacefully at her home on December 10, 2023 at the age of 101. She was born December 24, 1921 in Millville, Florida and moved to Tampa in the early 1940's. She retired after working for many years at the Hav-A-Tampa cigar factory and was often selected to represent the factory demonstrating cigar making at the Florida State Fair.

She enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas with her group of girlfriends and was a huge Elvis fan. She visited Alaska and Hawaii and did a cross country motor home trip with her husband, her brother and sister-in-law and her sister and brother-in-law. She was predeceased by her parents, Ella and Robert Ennis, her sister Helen and brother Buford and her husband of 66 years Roy. She is survived by her sister Bobbie, sons Roy (Pam) and Wayne, grandchildren Robert (Trudy), Tammie (Joe) and Yvonne, great grandsons Brandon, Joey and Dalton and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her Hospice team for their compassionate care of her as well as her personal caregivers. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A visitation for Christine will be held Monday, December 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home-Carrollwood, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, Florida 33618, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.

Graveside Service will be on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S. W. 102nd Ave, Bushnell, Florida 33513.
