Charles Renzo Miller, 96, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 25, 2023. Charles was born on July 1, 1927 in Wellburn, Florida. After Charles graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1945, he served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps (MC) in WWII.
After military service in December 18, 1954 he married the love of his life, Helen Jane Miller. Charles worked with Sunshine Biscuit Company in Tampa, then Atlanta for 40 years in their financial division, moving back to Tampa after his retirement in December 1990.
Charles and Helen spent their retirement years traveling all over the world and selflessly volunteering their time with the Shriners. Their dedication and service to the Shriner Children’s Hospital was respected by so many families and friends. Charles and Helen’s legacy is their beautiful examples of service to others.
Charles was predeceased in death by his loving wife, Helen Miller; brother Andrew Miller, and parents. ‘Uncle Buck’ is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Charles will take place on Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610,with a funeral service from 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
