Catherine Camero

Catherine was born January 05, 1933 in Blountstown, FL to her late mother Mrs. Ruby Woods Barber and late father John Everett Barber. She grew up with her three sisters, Ruth, Ann, Shirley and two brothers Bill and Bob. She attended schools in Belle Glade. and they all moved to Tampa FL.

Mourning her passing are her sister Ann Boatright of Tampa FL and children Debra Camero and husband Frank Fullmer of Weeki Wachee & Jerry Camero and wife Helen Camero of Tampa FL and daughter-in-law Lois Camero of N Palm Beach FL, Six grandchildren, Kristin Bowman, Amber Camacho, Chelsee Camero-Lintz, Joey, Matthew & Casey Camero, Eleven great grandchildren, McKenna Bowman, Rocco & Cruz Camacho, Skylar Lintz, Joseph, Jake, Carter, Cole, Copper, Micah & Evie Camero.

In Blountstown FL, Catherine grew up with her three sisters, Ruth, Ann, Shirley and two brothers Bill and Bob. She attended schools in Belle Glade, and they all moved to Tampa FL with her mother & father Ruby and Ike Barber. Catherine worked at a young age in Ybor City rolling cigars at Hav-A-Tampa Cigar Company. She met her husband Joseph Ralph Camero who was from Ybor City at Radio Ranch in Tampa FL. They moved to a new subdivision called Wellswood and raised their three children, Randy, Debra and Jerry. She learned to cook Spanish food and her house was always a meeting place for family, friends and neighbors. Everyone was welcome in her home and some would come for a couple of days, but would end of staying longer. She was a member of Belmont Heights Baptist church and played an active role for many years. She was so proud of her grandchildren and was always a part of their lives taking many family vacations together and attending as many functions as possible along with being a wonderful care giver for her husband and family. Catherine enjoyed working in her yard, golfing and playing Black-Jack and Poker with family and friends.

She is gone but will not be forgotten from our hearts and minds. Her spirit will live on and she will be remembered by her family and friends forever.
