She was born in Douglas, Georgia, one of three children born to the late Cleon and Alice Harrell, and was raised in Tampa, Florida. Analene was a member of Hillsborough High School class of 64. She met Mel McColloch a visiting service man, during a church service. She was a devoted wife, mother grandmother, sister, and friend. Family was most important to her, second only to Jesus. The light of Christ shone thru Analene in all aspects of her life. She was a faithful member of Mission Hills Church and served alongside her husband at First Baptist Church of Gibsonton, was involved with many music and youth programs at church. She was a member of Classroom Teachers Association and Temple Terrace Friendship Club. She worked at Jim Walters Homes, retired from Hillsborough County School System, and was currently employed at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories.
Analene is survived by Mel, her beloved husband of over 53 years, children; Melody Strickland husband Doug their children Gracie and Lex, son Melvin McColloch ll, wife Yvonne their children Max and Ian, daughter Misty Kelly husband John, their children Juliana, Jenna Jaxson, Jayson, sister Gloria Harrell, brother Jerome Harrell, along with a multitude of extended family members and numerous friends.
