Alfredo Galvez

He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Stella; 4 daughters, Luz Stella, Claudia and son-in-law Jairo, Beatriz and son-in-law Gilberto (recently preceded in death), and Ana and son-in -law Marc. Nine grandchildren, Andrea, Juan Carlos, Sofia, Laura, Jorge Luis, Carlos Felipe, Anais, Eliana and Alex; and 4 great-grand children, Gabriel, Logan, Timeo and Enzo as well as his brothers and sisters.

Born and raised in Colombia, Son of Pablo Emilio Galvez and Maria Jesus Torres. In his early years he worked as a public accountant and after moving to the States in his 50's he began working as a security guard, a job he truly enjoyed until his 80's. He emphasized the value of hard work in all of us and was a true example of commitment and dedication.

He was a devout Catholic who dedicated many hours of his day to prayer.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be truly missed.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 6-8 PM with funeral services beginning at 7 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home.
