Alberta (more commonly known as Bert) was born in Hempstead, NY on May 28, 1936 to Cora and William Wykert.
Married for 54 years to Robert Forster until his passing in 2007, she was the loving mother of Deborah Filipiak (Joseph), Lynn Kenny and Robert Forster (Mary Ann) She was the proud grandmother of Michael Filipiak, David Filipiak, Trevor Forster, Timothy Kenny, Brian Kenny and Laura Kenny.
Before retiring to Florida, Bert was an assistant vice president at the East New York Savings Bank in Oceanside and Manhattan, NY for over 15 years and she continued working in the banking industry in Florida for several more years. In her retirement years, Bert participated in various activities including bowling, bingo and shuffleboard and was a prolific crocheter - making sure that she completed a handmade afghan for each of her 6 grandchildren
