Adam Tyler “Shine” Risinger, age 23, was born in Tampa FL to Kathryn Ann Mainzer and Benjamin Baker Risinger III on October 7, 1993 and died July 6, 2017 in Homosassa, FL. He attended Chamberlain and Gaither high schools and graduated in 2012. During and after his high school years, he worked at McDonald’s, where he learned food industry standards and managerial skills; and after moving out on his own, sometimes worked 2 or more jobs at a time, including a manager’s position at Little Caesars Pizza. He was ambitious, goal oriented, and was willing to forgo comforts in order to save for the big things he wanted, especially travel. While growing up, he traveled all over this continent with his paternal grandparents and brother, Ben, with their cabin in NC as base. During his time on the road with Discover the Dinosaurs, his wanderlust was enhanced and is how he met so many wonderful people along the way. On the road he had opportunities to play his guitar and sing, and set the goal of visiting all 50 states, which he accomplished and then started that same goal for a second time. He tried out for America’s Got Talent and later had the vision of recording unknown musicians across the country. He loved music! Not only did he sing and compose, but learned to play many instruments; the genre changed and evolved over time. He made videos that he posted online that included music, peace, and of nurturing our earth and its peoples. Some of the last words he left behind included: I have lived an epic life, I’ve been to amazing places & met amazing people. In almost 24 years of this Earth experience I’ve done and experienced more than many people will in their entire life. I’ve done my best to help anyone I could, moving forward each day in love & compassion. …Shine On & Stay Blessed… Along with his parents, Adam was loved and survived by three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ricky Harrelson & Kim Johnson, Greensboro NC; Charles & Ashley Best, Rolla MO; and Ben Risinger IV, Tampa FL; grandparents, Ben and Lila Mae Risinger, Odessa FL; aunts and uncles, Phyllis & Don Thomas, Lenny & Sue Mainzer, Lyn Mainzer, and Peg & Howard Minter; nieces and nephews, Airazona Johnson, Lila’mae Risinger, Charlie Best, Harper Best, Leyton Ferguson, and Taylor Ferguson; a special friend, and a multitude of cousins and friends.
