Leona Marion Smith

Leona Marion Smith, 81, of Pompano Beach, FL passed away peacefully at Broward General Hospital on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Born in Pine Ridge, NB, Canada, she was the daughter of William and Muriel (Sinton) Cail.

Leona was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Browns Yard, NB. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her extended Moose Family. She especially loved karaoke, listening to live music, dancing and was an avid watcher of WWE wrestling.

She will be sadly missed by her many friends and loved ones. Leona is survived by her three loving children, Sandra (Richard) Dimeo, Shawn (Jim) Esposito, and Kevin (Heather) Smith as well as her cherished grandchildren, Rickey, Argirios, Alexander (Vanessa)and Hailey. As well as her eight adored great grandchildren, Lucas, Nicolaos, Dimitri, Amelia S., Sophia, Amelia R., Riley and Cecilia.

She will also be missed by her three surviving brothers, Ralph, Charlie (Linda) and Cecil as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

A celebration of Leona’s life will be held at the Tamarac Moose Lodge 6191 Rock Island Road, Tamarac, FL 33319 on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 12pm. Following the celebration of life will be a reception at the same address.
