Cleor Bissainthe was born on June 10th, 1939, to Mr. Henry Bissainthe and Madame Henriette Avrilien in Ti Rivière. She grew up with her siblings and attended school in Borgne, where she learned sewing skills. Cleor became a talented seamstress, sewing clothes for a living to support herself and her family. She later met the father of her children, Mr. Allonce, with whom she had six children, though only three survived.
In 1981, Cleor left Haiti in search of a better life for herself and her family. She worked tirelessly to support her children and extended family back in Haiti. Eventually, she was able to bring her children to join her in the United States. Known for her strong family values, Cleor welcomed many relatives who migrated to the U.S.
Cleor was diagnosed with cervical cancer in April 2023. Despite undergoing radiation and other treatments, the cancer returned and spread throughout her body. She passed away early on a Sunday morning, at 1:44 a.m., surrounded by her younger sister Rose, her children, nephews, nieces, and loved ones.
Cleor is survived by her children, Ronald, Katty, and Kattia Allonce; her siblings, Rose Perriot and Mr. and Mrs. Emmanuel Byssainthe. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, including Emmanuella G., Yvo Bysainthe and family, Jefferson Byssainthe and family, Yselourdes and family, and Nicole and family Dieubon Mauricette and family, Delice Mauricette and Family, Wichel, Luckendry, Charnel, Lenz,Marc fritzjelly, Lovejovanie and so many other relatives.
Cleor left behind a legacy of love, compassion, and deep family values, which continue to live on through her children and extended family.
