Sue was born in New Market, TN on May 31, 1933.
Sue graduated from New Market High School and received a Bachelor's degree from Carson Newman University. She was married to Hugh Stephens until his passing in 1997. She worked as an elementary school teacher, teaching the fourth and fifth grade for 47 years. She was a member of Tallahassee Heights United Methodist Church and had a passion for teaching Sunday school and volunteering.
Sue is preceded in death by both of her parents, Jess Clark McBride and Maude Whitaker; her husband, Hugh Stephens; and sister, Mary Dickenson. She is survived by her son, Clark L. Stephens, of Tallahassee, FL.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and funeral service will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32312 with a burial to follow.
