Sandra "Sandy" Colvert O'Neal

Sandra “Sandy” Colvert O’Neal, 75, of Havana, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 28, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Born May 21, 1949 in Tulare, California, she was the daughter of the late James Aubry Colvert and Dorothy Margaret York Colvert.

Sandra was a longtime resident of the Tallahassee area, and was devoted to serving others in the Tallahassee community. In her professional career, Sandy served as a clerk in the Florida Circuit Court, where she eventually retired. Sandy was also a devoted member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Quincy, FL.

Sandy was married to the love of her life and soul mate, Derhl Henry “Hank” O’Neal for 21 beautiful years before his passing in 2006. Their marriage was an example of commitment and unity to all that knew them.

Sandy had many interests and passions. She was an avid painter and crafter, she found joy in the company of her horses, and loved spending time at the beach. Sandy was steadfast in her Faith, and knew to always keep her eyes on Jesus. Sandy adored her family, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving and kind person, known for being a light to all those who knew her. Her warmth, kindness and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed.

Sandy is survived by her daughters, Dana Sellers (Mark) and Kathy Ledington; sons, Kevin O’Neal and Andy O’Neal (Margaret); 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and her beloved pets; Bella and Tupper.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents; brother, Timmy Colvert; husband, Hank O’Neal; daughter, Jill Rosinsky; and her beloved horse, Skip.

The family appreciates the care and support of Dr. Jay Allard and staff, Tammy and Mary Beth from Quincy Big Bend Hospice, as well as Priscila from TMH Homehealth.

A funeral service for Sandy will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312. Following the funeral service will be a burial following the service from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park, 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32312.
