Ruth Eston Kirkland Maloy, 91, died in Tallahassee on Sunday, October 25, 2015. Born July 24, 1924 in Geneva County, Alabama she lived in Chattahoochee, Florida and worked as a nurse at the Florida State Hospital for 30 years. Survivors include daughters Barabara Santangini of Denver, Colorodo, Robbie Fiore of Tallahassee, FL, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Ruth Maloy was preceded in death by husband Robert P. Maloy, mother Addie Elizabeth Marsh and father Walter Holmes Kirkland.
Ruth was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was always full of smiles and would do anything to help another. Ruth loved to travel and spend time with her friends and family. She was the finest “Granny” to her 5 grandchildren and she created memories for each one that will last forever. “When someone you love becomes a memory, your memory becomes a treasure.”
Services will be held October 31, 2015 at 2:00 Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home 700 Timberlane Road Tallahassee, Florida.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse Children’s Home of Tallahassee.
