Ronnie Delma Strickland, 74, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2014, in Tallahassee, FL. He was born October 8, 1940 in Miami, FL to Delma and Marjorie Strickland.Ron proudly served in the US Navy from 1958-1961. He later retired as an insurance agent, locally here in the Tallahassee area, where he called home for nearly 30 years. Ron was a die hard "NOLES" fan.He married Kay Spangler on July 2, 1959, and remained happily married for over 50 years. They are survived by their children, Dawn McClellan, of Kinard, FL, and Jay Strickland of Tampa, FL, along with 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and his mother, Marjorie and 2 younger brothers Jerry and Ray Strickland.Services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 2:00pm, at Immanuel Baptist Church, Tallahassee, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
